AT LAST

Today I managed to complete some projects I had lying around half finished. The first is a present for a friends new baby. This is wooden letters to form the word "BABY". Not a project I enjoyed, but finished none the less. Quite like the finished article. The second was a canvas of my daughter's new boyfriends family. This was quite difficult as I do not know them and I do not know what their tasted are. A few people commented on SCS gallery that they liked it so I hope they will.

It's the Weekend

Am just about to run around the house with the vacuum (having people stay over tonight) before I exit into my craft room. Have a few projects to finish off, not my favourite task.

A few of these are off the page projects and as my best bud Nicole knows I will hate every minute of it. However I will post these when completed.

Thought would drop another page in for viewers.
This was a phote I had done in Scotland at one of those makeover sessions. They do your hair, your make up and dress you up in finery. All this time you do not get to see yourself in a mirror. Then they takes lots of shots and then you get to see them at a slide show later. Then they hit you with the cost of the photos. At that point the give you a stretcher and all of their finance options. This was one of my favourite ones though.

Roos in our Garden

Check out the roos in our garden, my husband has recently planted grass seed and has lovingly watered every day to encourage its growth. Looks like the kangaroos really appreciate his hard work!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New year to all of my friends, relations and fellow bloggers. Here in Australia today the sun is shining and all is well in the world. The best part is, I am not working and I have time to blog and scrap.

This page is one I did with some photos my friend Nicole took of my daughter and her new man. Loved the paper as it was pale and allowed the photos to take centre stage. Hope you like it.

Good morning, have just looked onto my posts on Splitcoast Stampers. Have only recently posted some of my scrapped pages there and have been overwhelmed by the response from fellow paper addicts. Papermoon04 has been one of my favourite sites and I have saved this in my favourites. The beuatiful lady commented on every page I have done. I am blown away. I did not think I was good enough to even consider putting anything on. However my good friend Nicole who is even better than me encourages me to think about doing these things. We have just spent a weekend together and scrapped from dawn till dusk. It is interesting to see how other people go about their scrapping. She likes to talk and listen to music whilst scrapping. I like to sit in silence and am usually zoned out of any conversations. She takes ages with her pages sometimes never finishing any, despite doing 6 layouts. Me I am usually no more than two hours on a page and never go back to it once I have decided it is finished.
The page here is of Xmas last year. Here in Australia Xmas is always hot and coming from Scotland found it strange to be wearing shorts and eating salad. However having been here for 4 years now we are slowly getting used to it. This is our god-daughter Charlotte who is a delight to us all.

Today I am going to make some cards, I saw the brayering technique and I have had a brayer for about two years and never used it so watch this space.

Hello anyone out there who is reading this. This is my first attempt at setting up a blog. I am a complete luddite when it comes to computers. I only just managed today to upload photos onto splitcoast stampers. Yippee. It is all good fun.

It is a hot 40 degrees here in Mittagong today and it is six pm. I am just about to jump into our spa for a cool down and then will come back and see what else I can manage to sus out on this.
